Greetings, Mystic Meows!
Just wanted to stop by and drop a few pics of this here Mystic Meal of mine that I prepared for myself today using Red Thai Chilis in an Asian inspired finishing sauce that can be used in a variety of ways. From Dipping raw vegetables in it, dunking your favorite lettuce wrap , or pouring over some crispy fried fish as I did, the base for the sauce are as follows… : Lemon or Lime juice, ( I used both including some of the zest cause I’m fancy ๐) Soy Sauce to taste, and Sliced Thai chilis. For this go around I added some sliced tomatoes, sliced green onions, minced garlic, chopped parsley, basil, and sesame oil. Feel free to add a bit of sugar or honey if you fancy a sweet heat. This sauce goes great on top of anything fried, especially served with some rice to soak up the goodness! But be warned! If you know, you know, but Thai Chilis can pack a hell of a punch, so start with one or two and see how the heat build up is for you. Add more if you’re feeling WILD!

I decided I wanted some fried fish, so I picked up a gorgeous looking Milk Fish and deboned and fillet it myself, marinated the pieces overnight with some salt and pepper, and then hard fried them as is, no batter, dredge, or breading to get that fish skin as crispy as can be. The fish was nice and golden brown all over and juicy on the inside. I served it with Jasmine rice and some sautรฉed bok choy with toasted garlic, and finished with sesame oil and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds. Then I lovingly spooned that Thai Chili saucy sauce all over the fish! Boy howdy she was flipping HOT!! It was well worth the pain, I must say… Always is!

And that’s it, meows! I hope you give some of those Thai Chilis a go in your next Mystic Meal! Until we eat again… Bone App the Teeth! ๐๐๐ Happy Cooking!
Cheers, hugs, and meows!
