Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding!

Greetings, dear meows!

I don’t know about you mewosers, but I do love a good dessert! Especially chocolate! Full discloser though, when it comes to bread pudding I have kind of a love/hate relationship with it. When I first started working in restaurants in NYC, it was on almost every dessert menu in one way or another because it’s a great way to make use of leftover bread, aside from making breadcrumbs. Some varied with ingredients like adding raisins , or other dried fruit, and almost always drizzled with a caramel sauce. I just always found it kind of a heavy and somewhat lackluster offering. That is until…

One of the best versions of bread pudding I ever had in my freaking life was from a bakery off of Fillmore and Pine Street in San Francisco called La Boulangerie. They made a croissant bread pudding that was perfectly sweet, custardy, and absolutely addicting. The custard would set between the layers and caramelize beautifully. So whenever I have a hankering to make bread pudding, I always use croissants. But why not amp it up by adding chocolate???? It combines all the flavors and textures I love.

Here’s the link to the video of me making it! And please subscribe to my channel! Thank you! 🥰 https://youtu.be/71cpaMw3fZY

This came out so delicious! The beauty of this dessert is that you can control how little or much chocolate you add to it, and you can enjoy this in the morning with your coffee, afternoon with your tea, or eat it in the dark in the middle of the night like a hungry goblin with some whipped cream or ice cream and feel absolutely no guilt or shame about it!

Let me know if you meows give it a try! It’s really easy to make, I promise! Until we eat again… Bon app the teef! Happy cooking!

Cheers, hugs, and meows…
